Holloway makes new Diouf bid

Ian Holloway is making a second bid to sign El-Hadji Diouf before the striker joins Wigan.

The Blackpool boss made a move for Diouf earlier this month only to be told the former Blackburn man was on his way to Greece.

But Diouf, 30, has resurfaced on trial at Wigan with the Latics looking for a replacement for the injured Hugo Rodallega.

That has prompted Holloway to get back in touch about a stint at Bloomfield Road partnering Kevin Phillips up front.

Doncaster boss Dean Saunders is also trying to talk to Diouf about leading his attack this season.
