Clark warns Newcastle over Rhodes

Lee Clark has warned Newcastle that Jordan Rhodes is staying at Huddersfield.

Terriers boss Clark is aware of speculation that the Premier League Magpies are lining up a £2m bid for the 13 goal hotshot.

But he insists Town are determined to hold on to Rhodes as they fight their way towards promotion to the Championship.

Clark said: ``The board are as determined as I am to lead the club to promotion, and that means keeping hold of our top players.

``When they perform well, as Jordan is doing, there will always be speculation but that is all it is and as a club we’re pretty cool about things.

``None of our players have a release clause and our owner Dean Hoyle has gone on record as saying we won’t be selling any of our rising stars in January.''
