Fed up Nigel tells Bolton to stop being chokers

Nigel Reo-Coker has laid into his Bolton team-mates after growing sick of their shocking start to the season.

The Trotters slipped to their eighth top-flight defeat in nine games at Swansea on Saturday, leading the midfielder to let rip.

Reo-Coker only arrived at the Reebok in the summer, but he has already had enough of the poor displays that have left them second bottom in the Premier League.

“Nigel’s a big character and had a word in the changing room, but sometimes you need that," said defender David Wheater.

“You need players to have a go at each other. You can’t be just friends with each other and let another defeat go.

“I can’t say what he said, but a few players said a few things and it was right what the lads said.

“We all know it’s not good enough and what we need to do. We need to pass better, tackle harder and do everything a bit better.

“We’re letting teams off the hook and we’re not creating enough chances.

“Swansea looked like a team on Saturday. We didn’t.”
