Palacios pleads with Stoke for a start

Stoke star Wilson Palacios is pleading with Tony Pulis to give him a Premier League start.

The midfielder joined from Spurs for £6m in August with a knee injury and has managed just 38 minutes of Premier League action.

He has enjoyed four starts in the Europa League and Carling Cup but Pulis has so far refused to give him a bash in the rough and tumble of the top flight.

But the frustrated 27-year-old now wants more high-profile game time and is keen to face Blackburn on Saturday.

He said: ``I am 100 per cent fit and at the manager's disposal, but it is up to Tony Pulis to put me in the team.

``I am happy at Stoke. I came here with a bad injury, but now I'm ready to play.''

Whilst sat out Palacios has watched Stoke lose their last four league games - most recently slumping to a 3-2 defeat by QPR.

They desperately need to beat strugglers Blackburn to move them away from the drop zone having moved to within three points of the bottom trio of clubs.
