Lokomotiv Moscow Make New Roman Pavlyuchenko Bid

Lokomotiv Moscow have made a new bid for Spurs striker Roman Pavlyuchenko.

The Russian oufit failed with an offer of £7m recently but have gone in with a higher proposal.

But it is still over £3m short of the price Tottenham paid for the 30-year-old striker back in 2008.

And with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy looking to make a profit on the £13.8m he spent on Pavlyuchenko, Lokomotiv are unlikely to land their man.

The hitman arrived at White Hart Lane from Spartak Moscow with a reputation of being a clinical finisher.

But he has struggled to get a game during his time in North London and this season has netted just one goal in five Premier League games.

Spurs have recently taken up the option to extend his contract though to stop Pavlyuchenko walking out for free in the summer.
