Pedersen Fears Arsenal Mauling Could Devastate Rovers

Morten Gamst Pedersen fears Blackburn's 7-1 mauling at Arsenal could kill off their chances of Premier League survival.

The Rovers winger admits the thrashing devastated a Blackburn squad stuck in the bottom three.

And now he is worried a failure to get to the grips with the hammering could knock the stuffing out of Blackburn's safety bid.

He said: ``It’s no secret that we are struggling in the league, but we have to keep the focus in the right place or this is going to be difficult.''

Pedersen revealed boss Steve Kean has been going through what went wrong at the Emirates on the training pitch.

And he is desperate for a victory over fellow strugglers QPR at the weekend to stop the rot.

The Norwegian said: ``I don’t want to talk about the Arsenal game, we all feel exactly the
same about that game.

``We went through that game on the training ground. We are not happy! It is much better to start the focus on the QPR game this weekend.''

Defeat by a team now managed by former Ewood Park favourite Mark Hughes could leave Rovers six points from safety.
