Pulis Sending Video Nasty To FA

Tony Pulis is sending a video to the FA with a desperate plea to clear up the confusion over red-card tackles.

Stoke manager Pulis is fuming that the game’s rulers refused to overturn the decision to dismiss Robert Huth in last week’s defeat by Sunderland.

German stopper Huth saw red despite pulling out of a tackle on Black Cats midfielder David Meyler.

And that has irked Pulis into putting together a compilation of tackles and a request for the FA to explain why some of them merited red cards and others challenges were ignored.

He said: “We will put a compilation of incidents together and send it off to the FA, the Premier League and referee’s chief Mike Riley and say, 'There is so much inconsistency going on at the moment, we have to clear these things up.’

“It’s not fair on certain people who get done and certain people who get off.

“I think it has been a desperately disappointing season in respect of certain incidents.

“We can sit hear and moan and groan about officials but I don’t think that is the way to do it. We have to put something constructive into the arena and then hopefully get something back.”

Ahead of Saturday's visit to Fulham, Pulis added: “The game is about challenge and there are people who have made great livings out of being good tacklers and we can’t take tackling out of the game.”
