Blackpool's Ian Evatt Warns of Wembley Dreams

Ian Evatt

Ian Evatt reckons dreaming of a day out at Wembley is putting the mockers on Blackpool's promotion push.

The giant stopper believes nerves kick in whenever the Seasiders start thinking about a return to HQ through the play-offs.

He said: ``When we start getting ahead of ourselves and look at the end picture, we start to have a bit of a wobble.

It is a big cliché but I think we need to just take each game as it comes.''

Evatt is fearful Blackpool's dodgy away form could cost them a top six spot.

The Seasiders may have impressed at home, most notably when beating leaders Southampton 3-0 last Saturday.

But they are struggling on their travels having lost at Reading, Peterborough and Derby in their last three away games.

That does not bode well as they head off to Watford today hoping to consolidate their position in the top six.

And Evatt conceded: ``Maybe the away form will decide things.''
