Arsenal Striker Nicklas Bendtner Wanted In Germany

Nicklas Bendtner
ARSENAL misfit Nicklas Bendtner could be on his way to Germany with champions Borussia Dortmund keen to land him.

Bendtner, 24, has just returned to the Emirates from an indifferent loan spell at Sunderland.

Black Cats boss Martin O'Neill has no interest in signing the striker despite him finishing top scorer with eight Premier League goals, and that has opened the door for Dortmund.

They could snap him up for a fee of £2.5m that has been kept artificially low because of his big wages.

The striker is believed to earn around £60,000 a week at Arsenal and that figure is difficult for German clubs to meet.

The Dane was a target for Dortmund last summer before switching instead to the North-East.

A move is unlikely to happen until after the Euros though with Bendtner currently concentrating on his role with the Danish side.
