Roberto Martinez Fury as Sky Ruin His Safety Plans

Roberto Martinez
ROBERTO Martinez is livid Wigan's Premier League survival bid is being disrupted by Sky.

The Latics crunch clash with Blackburn has been put back to Monday night so it can be televised.

And that could mean Wigan going into the game under extra pressure if fellow strugglers Bolton and QPR win tomorrow.

Victories for both clubs will lift them to the same points tally as the Latics and ramp up the pressure on Martinez's men at the bottom of the table ahead of their game with Rovers.

He said: ``It is not ideal. I would prefer we all played at the same time.

``We know at the beginning of the season there will be situations like this and Blackburn and ourselves are the teams affected by it but we can't do anything about it.''

Martinez is using the delay on Wigan's game to give his players some extra rest.

``You can't think about the negatives. You have to think the opposite. We have tried to turn it into an advantage and given the players a couple of days off so they can be fresh for the final two games.

``That's because we don't feel we have achieved anything yet with 37 points and we know the next six points are vital and we will approach it in that manner.''

Wigan finish the season with a home clash against Wolves.
