Fulham boss Martin Jol is lining up a £3million bid for Bolton striker David Ngog.

The Dutchman has been  priced out of a move for Huddersfield hitman Jordan Rhodes.

So he is turning to French frontman Ngog, 23, with the plan of handing him a swift return to the Premier League following the Trotters’ relegation.

And the Cottagers chief hopes to secure him just a year after Bolton paid £4m to Liverpool to land him.

Bolton boss Owen Coyle believes Ngog can lead his side’s attack in the Championship despite netting just three top-flight goals during the Trotters’ relegation season.

But he could be forced into selling as his club look to cut costs after dropping out of the Premier League.
