Kurt Zouma Targeted by Manchester United boss Ferguson

Manchester United

Alex Ferguson is eyeing a £9m swoop on French side St. Etienne for talented teen defender Kurt Zouma.

The Manchester United boss is aware there is plenty of interest in the big stopper - one of the top kids coming through in Europe.

And is ready to snap up Zouma, 17, and then loan him back to St. Etienne for the season.

QPR have also been sniffing around the 6ft 2in youngster as they look to beef up their back line and Manchester City are also monitoring his situation.

Ferguson has plenty of central defenders on his books with the likes of Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand, Jonny Evans, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones.

But Zouma is one of the most exciting kids around and United do not want to miss out the France youth international.
