Owen Coyle Insists Burnley Boos Will Not Worry Him

Owen CoyleBolton boss Owen Coyle is refusing to let Burnley's boo-boys spoil his happy memories of Turf Moor.

Coyle took the Clarets into the Premier League and orchestrated a famous win over Manchester United during his three years at the club.

But the good times have all been forgotten by Burnley fans who view the Scot as a Judas for jumping ship to the Reebok in back in January 2010.

They are ready to hand him a hellish return to his old stomping ground today - although Coyle has no intention of letting it ruin his reunion.

He said: "All I ever had, or will have, is good feelings for Burnley.

"We had special times and if some people have chosen to forget that, that is the way it is.

"I am not going to take umbrage with anything.

"But there is no getting away from the fact that when we were there, it was special times.

"We played 61 games that promotion season with the fewest number of players in the Championship.

"I was embargoed from January from signing players because of the financial situation but we just got on with it.

"We got to the semi-final of the Carling Cup and in any other season would probably have been in the final and qualified for Europe.

"Then we got in the Premier League and when we left we were 14th. There is no doubt what we achieved there was fantastic."
