Tom Ince Unable to Satisfy Pushy Dad Paul

Tom InceTom Ince must wonder what he has to do to please his famous father Paul.

Two goals and three assists in the 6-0 demolition of Ipswich would satisfy must dads - Ince senior has set the bar higher though.

"He will tell me I should have scored a hat-trick," admitted young Tom.

Tough love indeed.

But ask any of the wounded Ipswich players and they will confirm Ince, 20, is doing more than enough.

He is already in the sights of Premier League high-fliers Swansea and there is going to be a rush of bids from the big guns before Friday following this display.

Ince was simply irrepressible. At Blackpool, he is irreplaceable and that's why boss Ian Holloway will be relieved to hear the youngster talk of his boss as a second dad, one who's advice makes it impossible for him to fly the nest.

“I am happy to stay at Blackpool - 100 per cent," he said.

"I have the double advantage of having the gaffer to guide me here and also my dad.

"The gaffer puts tremendous faith in me to play the way I do. He  allows me to express myself

"And my dad is also around to guide me. He will still have some criticism I am sure after this.

"We will sit down, go through the first few games and that is great because I can never stop learning.

"I am still only 20 years old and I am enjoying my football, but there are always bits and pieces that I can improve on and I learned that from the gaffer and from my old man.

"So it is great to have that backing behind me to keep me grounded. I am enjoying my football and when you are enjoying your football you always give your best performances."
