Harry Redknapp Wants Blackburn Job

Harry RedknappHarry Redknapp is ready to return to management at Blackburn Rovers.

The former Spurs boss is keen to get back to work and is convinced he can get the Lancashire club promoted back to the Premier League at the first attempt.

Now the 65-year-old is waiting for Blackburn's global advisor Shebby Singh to get in touch to try and thrash out a deal.

Singh was initially against the idea of appointing an experienced manager - prefering to go down the route of landing an ambitious young boss.

But having seen the damage Steve Kean did to the club, fans have launched angry protests at the news that Tim Sherwood or Billy McKinlay were candidates for the role.

Singh is desperate to avoid upsetting Rovers supporters again and is now looking for safer options.

And Redknapp believes he could unify the club by taking over as manager.

He has been working in a consulting role at Bournemouth since being axed by Spurs in June.

But his role has disminished since Eddie Howe was tempted back to the south coast earlier this month.
