Liam Rosenior Says Nan Will Kill Him If He Quits Hull

Liam Rosenior fears his Hull supporting nan is going to kill him if he fails to land a new deal at the KC Stadium.

The right-back, who is out of the contract in the summer, has only just got back in the team following the end of Egypt international Ahmed Elmohamady’s loan spell from Sunderland.

And the 28-year-old remains confident of persuading the club to offer him a long-term agreement.

Rosenior said: “I’d like to stay and see the club do well, and besides, my nan would kill me if I did leave. But I’m not in a position to beg for a contract.

“I’m not going to keep knocking on the door for one, I’ll let my football do the talking.

“If I perform to how I can then I’ll have no worries at all. I’ve got to do my best for the club, help them get promoted and hopefully I’ll be a Premier League player next season.”

Rosenior Joined the Tigers in October 2010 but has struggled to hold down a first-team spot this term.

But he insisted: “I’m not being arrogant, but for two years I couldn’t see a better right-back in the league. I know I’ve got qualities.”
