Rafael Insists There Will Be No Everton Slip Up Repeat

Manchester United defender Rafael Da Silva insists there will be no slip up against Everton today, like that one that cost him a title winner's medal last season.

United were cruising to the Premier League crown last term when they faced the Toffees in late April.

And after easing their way into a comfortable 4-2 lead with seven minutes left, they looked to have pocketed three important points.

But Everton stunned the Reds by netting twice with Nikica Jelavic and Steven Pienaar scoring to rob United of the two points that ultimately stopped them winning the title.

Rafael said: "I remember it was an unbelievable game. It was tough for us because we drew and maybe it cost us the league but we’ll definitely learn from it.

"We scored a lot of goals but conceded what were maybe silly goals ourselves.

"Of course, we have learned from that. We can’t concede two goals at the end like we did."

Alex Ferguson's side look like they could afford to slip up today after opening up a nine point gap at the top of the table.

But Rafael revealed the Reds are determined to turn the screw and continue racking up wins to demoralise Roberto Mancini's men - who are already on a downer after losing at Southampton last night.

He added: "Right now, I think we have to get the points in all the games.

"It’s important to take three points. It doesn’t matter how we get them, we just have to get them."
