Real Madrid v Man United: Shinji Kagawa Wants To End Champions League Nightmare

Shinji Kagawa is determined not to taste Champions League disappoint again this week.

The Japanese star was left deflated after former club Borussia Dortmund finished bottom of their group last season.

Now he's switched to Manchester United, he is keen to fight his way through to the final.

But he accepts it's going to be a big ask with Real Madrid standing in the Reds' way.

Kagawa said: "I played in the Champions League with Dortmund last season but unfortunately we couldn’t perform to our potential.

"We were too young, we didn’t have enough experience and got knocked out in the group stage.

"However, United has a great history and we finished top of our group this season.

"The games against Real Madrid are going to be inspiring. It’s tough to play against Real Madrid.

"But I'm looking forward to it. If I’m picked, I’ll do my best to help the team reach the next stage of the competition."
