Alexander Kacaniklic Brave To Move To Burnley On Loan

Burnley boss Sean Dyche has hailed Alexander Kacaniklic's brave decision to join the Clarets on loan.

Striker Kacaniklic has already scored three Premier League goals for Fulham this term and even netted for Sweden in a World Cup qualifier.

But rather than resting on his laurels on the Cottagers bench, the 21-year-old is spending the final weeks of the campaign with the Clarets.

Dyche said: "He breaks the mould somewhat. It’s a culture change coming up here and having that bit of fear and trepidation at meeting new players and meeting another group.

“I think that’s of great value to a young player and that will stand him in good stead somewhere down the line.

"He will play and develop having come away from what could be a very comfortable life just ticking along.

“He wanted to come out and play football and I admire him for that, come what may.

“Hopefully it will be very productive and if not it will be a good experience for him.

“I think it’s invaluable for a young player and probably more should take heed of that and get themselves out playing.”
