Cristiano Ronaldo Is Giving United 'False Hope' Of A Move

Cristiano Ronaldo's refusal to pen a new deal at Real is giving Manchester United "false hope" of signing him, says boss Alex Ferguson.

Ronaldo has two years left on his contract in Madrid and the Spanish giants are keen to tie him down.
But the 28-year-old is dithering and talk of a return to United is gaining momentum.

Ferguson is not so sure his former charge Ronaldo is planning to jump ship though.

He said: "I don't think there's anything that would encourage me to think Ronaldo would come back here.

"I don't think there's anything in that at all. He's got two years left on his contract.

"It could be to do with the fact that negotiations are going on for a new contract.

"I think maybe his agent is playing the game, maybe - though I'm not prepared to comment on that. I think it's false hope."
