Tony Pulis: It's Going To Be Tough Following Me

Tony Pulis insists he is going to be a hard act to follow at Stoke.

Tony_PulisThe Potters boss looks set to quit after struggling through a tough season at the Britannia Stadium.

And Pulis reckons his replacement is going to struggle to take Stoke to the next level.

He said: "What is the next level?

"Do people think we are going to be a top eight club, do people think we are going to go to Cup finals, well we have already done that.

"Go to Europe? We have already done that as well."

It's not just on the field where Pulis feels he has been a success.

He points to the complete overhaul of the club's training facilities as another key part of his legacy, a task he carried out whilst getting results on the pitch.

He added: "The thing is, you have to understand where you’re at and to try and improve that if you can - but make sure it is a solid improvement.

"What we have done behind the scenes has been as remarkable as what has happened on the pitch.

"People don’t understand that we have done this improvement in one.

"I did not join a club that had a Premier League infrastructure, I joined a club that had no infrastructure.

"The club have invested an enormous amount in the training building."
