Crystal Palace Target Move for Javier Acuna

Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway plans to make Real Madrid striker Javier Acuna his first signing since clinching a place in the Premier League.

Holloway has already made contact with the Paraguayan's representatives about a free transfer move to Selhurst Park.

And he is trying to push through the move immediately as he is aware that Middlesbrough and Bolton are also in the hunt.

Acuna, 24, struggled to make an impact at Real but is proving he knows where the goal is during a loan spell at second division club Girona.

The frontman has scored 16 goals in 34 games and is now keen to try his luck in England after running down his deal at the Bernabeu.
